I’m Steve, the photographer behind Steve Rumble Photography, specializing in wedding photography, engagement photography, and family portraits in Peterborough and the Kawarthas. I’ve been capturing weddings and families in Peterborough, the Kawarthas, Clarington (where I used to live), the Durham Region, and Northumberland for years, and after taking a break from my business during the pandemic, I’m excited to be back behind the camera, capturing real, meaningful moments once again.
As a Peterborough wedding photographer, my goal is to create authentic, timeless images that feel natural and real. I don’t believe in photography trends that fade quickly. Instead, I focus on candid wedding photography and natural family portraits—the kind of images that will still feel meaningful decades from now.
Growing up in Lindsay, I’ve always felt a deep connection to the Kawarthas. It’s the most beautiful, natural, and authentic place I know, and that feeling mirrors my approach to photography. Whether it’s a wedding, engagement session, or a family photoshoot, my goal is to capture the genuine moments—the ones that feel effortless but mean everything.
With experience as both a primary wedding photographer and a second shooter, I understand how wedding days flow and how to work seamlessly with other professionals. This experience has helped me refine my own style: natural, honest, and timeless. As well, my background is in the arts. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance, which may at first seem unrelated, but it’s actually shaped how I see the world through my camera lens. In theatre, I strived for authenticity, genuine emotion, and connection—qualities I now bring into my photography.
